Rebel Girls Lead: 25 Tales of Powerful Women by Rebel Girls

I read Goodnight Stories for Rebel Girls last year and absolutely loved it. Hence, I knew I’d definitely want to pick the latest release and super excited when I was approved to review the ARC. This was released on January 26th 2021 and I urge you to pick it up.
This would be a perfect pick for Women’s Day or any other day to be very honest. πŸ˜›

Rebel Girls Lead: 25 Tales of Powerful WomenΒ celebrates the incredible and inspiring stories of 25 women leaders in politics, business, sports, activism, and more, all written in fairy tale form. It is part of the award-winning Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls series.

This collection of 25 stories includes the most beloved stories of leadership from the first three volumes of the New York Times best-selling series, Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls. And also features 11 brand new tales of women’s activism, bravery, and vision.

All these women excel in leadership and gracefully achieve their respective goals. I love the diversity with respect to the kind of profession these women follow. The thing I did not like as much is that most of the women are from USA. Even though they aren’t only white women and this does have a mixture of brown and black women leaders featured as well. Personally, I hoped this would cover a much global set of women leaders.
Some of the women that inspired me were Kamala Harris, Jacinda Ardern and Ruth Bader Ginsburg

Additionally, this ones has a very handy exercises that sort of works like a workbook to build leadership qualities for younger readers.
I found this a brilliant way of ending a non fiction children’s book and loved how it helps you reflect on all the instant inspiration you get after reading such books.

RATING : 4.0/5.0

Overall, this book was inspiring and motivational, and would be a good addition to any child’ s library. Also, the illustrations are excellent.
