Rebel Girls Lead: 25 Tales of Powerful Women by Rebel Girls

I read Goodnight Stories for Rebel Girls last year and absolutely loved it. Hence, I knew I’d definitely want to pick the latest release and super excited when I was approved to review the ARC. This was released on January 26th 2021 and I urge you to pick it up.
This would be a perfect pick for Women’s Day or any other day to be very honest. 😛

THOUGHTS

WOMEN IN LEADERSHIP

All these women excel in leadership and gracefully achieve their respective goals. I love the diversity with respect to the kind of profession these women follow. The thing I did not like as much is that most of the women are from USA. Even though they aren’t only white women and this does have a mixture of brown and black women leaders featured as well. Personally, I hoped this would cover a much global set of women leaders.
Some of the women that inspired me were Kamala Harris, Jacinda Ardern and Ruth Bader Ginsburg

LEADERSHIP EXERCISE

Additionally, this ones has a very handy exercises that sort of works like a workbook to build leadership qualities for younger readers.
I found this a brilliant way of ending a non fiction children’s book and loved how it helps you reflect on all the instant inspiration you get after reading such books.

RATING : 4.0/5.0

Overall, this book was inspiring and motivational, and would be a good addition to any child’ s library. Also, the illustrations are excellent.
