I am finally successful in switching my Mom from her Saas Bahu Soap opera to swooning over typical cliche Korean Drama scenes with me. How did this happen? Well, Crash Landing On You is the first Kdrama I seen with Mum, and we are now onto watching Suspicious Partner together. YAYAYA!

- A GLIMPSE OF NORTH KOREA
North Korea is the real world’s fictional dystopian country. I read Yeonmi Park’s Memoir last year, and it left me on such a sad note. I was angry and left helpless as how we couldn’t care less about the present injustice but would rave about the past like it happened to us and we somehow have re incarcerated to get our justice. - SWOON WORTHY ROMANCE
The Romance is a slow burn and I liked it that way, They knew they were going to be star crossed lovers so they were trying their best to not get into a sticky situation but oh well.. it was fate and not co incidence! 😉
- THE DEATH OF A CHARACTER
Okay. So I do not want to spoil things for you. But a character dies and I am still not over this fictional loss. Why play with my heart like this? - POLITICAL UNREST BETWEEN ENEMY COUNTRIES
The story revolves around a really rich south Korean lady that lands into North Korea due to a Hurricane. Of course, she happens to meet a soldier that’s doing his duty on the borders.
I like how this story aims to eradicate the “other” or “alien” status that enemy countries usually give each other for political gains. This movie has that subtle hint of ” We all bleed the same” kind of feeling. It tries to reach out to us in hopes of the common connection of just being human.
I loved how this series portrays a brainwashed common citizen changing their stance on unreasonable assumptions of their enemies. If you know what I mean!
- SIDE CHARACTERS
The side characters in this book are equally entertaining. Apart from two major subplots between the side characters solely used to keep the story progressing, the side characters even though always in the background left a massive sense of thought provoking themes. Unrequited Love and Friendship is just a couple that stood out to me.

Overall, Crash Landing On You was quickly added to my all Time Favorites List just half way through the series for its entertainment and underlying themes it managed to deliver.
