Descendants Of The Sun is yet another KDrama I finished watching a while ago but has always been the one I come back to. It’s hard to explain your Favourite Kdrama series of all time without spoiling it. But I am going to try.
WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
A love story develops between Captain Yoo Shi Jin, from South Korean Special Forces and Doctor Kang Mo Yeon, who works as a Surgeon at Haesung Hospital in Seoul. They will find themselves in the middle of great events and deadly dangers, both in their Motherland and in the fictitious, war-torn country of Urk
THOUGHTS
A LITTLE BIT OF EVERYTHING.
What makes this so wholesome to me is the fact it has so much to offer with regards to romance, action, drama, adventure and comedy. There are so many scenes that are memorable and cringe worthy. Not to forget this is a story about a soldier so there is a lot of war and action but it doesn’t fail to show the emotional or funny side of these characters.
Yoo Shi Jin
OMG! If I am in love with one character and will probably end up fighting the crowds and wait for hours to get a autograph for is SONG JOONG KI. I was literally in love with his character. I can’t even express. 😛
This guy is so funny and good looking and witty and sensitive at the same time. He definitely sets the bar high for the supposedly future love of my life. 😛
THE MUSIC
You guys, the background music in this one is too good and I don’t even understand Korean. lol There is a complete playlist on YouTube. and I have listened to that video religiously long after I finished watching the series.
REAL LIFE LOVERS…
Okay I know they got divorced later and it did break my heart into tiny pieces. But it’s a different feeling to see the characters you shipped together end up together in real life too.. AWWWW! 😛 It din’t last long but the happiness had no measure. Now I’ll continue to sulk about it while you judge me to be insane enough to not distinguish fiction from reality. 😛
The relationship between other characters
Seo Dae Young and Yoon Myung Ju were so cute together even though the limited screen time together. It was really sad to see . Even the bromance between the soldiers is super interesting and funny to watch. Then we other love interest of the older couple in the medical group too. What I mean is.. This story does not just focus on war and a particular characters love story . every character has a purpose and every body were equally entertaining to watch.

Overall, Descendants Of The Sun is definitely worth the watch and will leave you wanting more with its exceptional storytelling.
