Hi Guys,
The last few weeks have meant big changes in my life. I had to move back to my parent’s house and my work schedule has been really awful. 😛 Thanks to Corona virus. 🙂 However, I have been wanting to start a Booktube for like forever. And, now left with no excuse to pursue the same. I have finally began my booktube journey.
This post however, is going to act like a master post for the TBR & Wrapup for the Readathon. So Stay Tuned for more updates!
TBR
Becoming A Writer

Subjects
History Of Magic
Prompt : A Book about Witches/Wizards

UPDATE!
Status : DNF
This wasn’t something I was in the mood for and was instantly repulsed by the whole idea of reading a witch story. Hopefully, when I am back in the mood, I shall pick this up as I am already half way done. 🙁
Muggle Studies
Prompt : A Book about Muggles

UPDATE !
Status – Finished
Rating – 2 /5
So, this wasn’t really the favorite book I picked up. I found it unnecessarily steamy and it’s going to be a unpopular opinion but the supposiedly smart female protagnist did have some dumb and ignorant ways of dealing with situations. So typical , to give her daddy issues too. I usually don’t enjoy books that portray the female characters as a damsel in distress just for intrigue. Hence, this wasn’t the book for me.
The highlight was her Vietnamese boyfriend and the family dynamics. The two stars solely are solely for this element in the book.
Ancient Runes
Prompt : A Book having a Heart in the Title or Cover

UPDATE!
Status – Finished
Rating – 4.5/5
I loved this. The depression scenes were quite realistic. I could relate at a lot of points in this book and that’s what made this special. I love the core message it gave and I’m happy I picked this book up.

I am so glad to have found a favorite with the help of this readathon. I have reviewed this book in much detail here .
Written in multiple points of view, it had an engaging storyline has a lot of its theme based around autism and parenting for kids with special needs. The kind of emotion it captures about dysfunctional relationships was the real winner for me. MUST READ!
If you can’t tell already, I am super excited to do this Readathon & will keep updating this post as and when I finish reading these books and share my thoughts on them here.
Until Then, Happy Reading!
Also, Do let me know in the comments below if you are participating in the Readathon., and what are you planning to read? 🙂
Overall Thoughts ! I rarely do readathons , but this readathon was an overall success in my eyes as I can see how I wouldn’t have otherwise prioritized these books. I wasn’t really into the the other shenanigan’s of the graphics during or after the readathon, but it did help in building the excitement to pick up books that most aligned to it. Overall, this was a good experience. 🙂
For the results, “technically” , I dnfed the books that counted towards the “History of Magic” subject and I haven’t passed by OWLS. As this was a compulsory subject. *feels slightly disappointed*
Well. It is what it is. 😛 In the big picture, I still count this a success for myself. :p so go me!!! 🙂
I’m doing this readathon too! I’m going to be a Curse Breaker. Good luck with your TBR and your BookTube!
Yay good luck to you too. Happy reading !
