Top Ten Childhood Favorites!

I recently made a post where I recommend Five Children’s Fiction I still love as an Adult! Since I don’t want to list down the same set of books again, I am going to do 5 Bookish Favorites and 5 Non-Bookish Childhood Favorites! 😀

Let’s Begin:

  • Chacha Chaudhary Series!
Chacha Chaudhary  is one of the most iconic characters in Indian Comics.  I have read this every  Sunday during middle grade. I loved Chacha Chaudhary – “whose brain is faster than a computer.” and Raaka  – one of my favorite  villains.

Naughtiest Girl Series by Enid Blyton

I have read this religiously in my childhood and enjoyed it thoroughly. As a kid, my mother used to always threaten me to put me in a boarding school.

The Dragon Tales

“I wish, I wish, with all my heart, to fly with dragons in a land apart!”

My obsession with dragons began with this cartoon. How I devoured this cartoon. I never missed a single episode, and watched the repeat  telecast in the evening again.  I was obsessed with this one!

Popeye
I’m strong to the finish, ’cause I eats me Spinach, I’m Popeye the sailor man! (toot, toot)

The reason I loved my greens as a kid, and continue to have as an adult. Even my favorite soup is the Spinach or Broccoli Soup. Yes. I am one of those people who loves  my greens. 😛

Oswald
This cartoon is about an Octopus named Oswald and who had a pet dog named Weenie. This was so entertaining to watch. We also had a talking flowers and a butterfly parent and a freaking snowman and a penguin. All living in the same city. Quite an imaginative setting but still loved this show a lot!  I never questioned it back then, but some of the scenes definately made me wonder if Oswald was high on something. HAHA!

Tom and Jerry

And of course, the iconic Tom and Jerry! How can I forget that! I loved this show to bits. I still re watch it and can enjoy it for hours.

Scooby-Doo

“Ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-TAA!! PUPPY POWER!!”
This one is another of those iconic cartoons, that as an adult is extremely questionable:P However, I loved it and realized how naive and innocent you can be.

Of course, there is a list of nostalgic favorites when it comes to cartoons. Some honorable mentions would be Pingu, Noddy, Bob the Builder, and Pokemon.

  1. I still love Scooby so much <3 I've heard much about Nancy Drew but I don't think I ever read them. I don't know if they even were translated… The Dragon Tales looks so cute!
