What is it about?
Tiffy and Leon have an unusual living agreement, where Tiffy has the flat for the night and weekends, while Leon occupies the flat while Tiffy is at work during the day.
But with obsessive ex-boyfriends, demanding clients at work, wrongly-imprisoned brothers and, of course, the fact that they still haven’t met yet, they’re about to discover that if you want the perfect home you need to throw the rule book out the window…
Review
Plot:
The book opens a conversation to non physical abuse, even with its chic-lit and pleasant love story. I loved the two different for Leon being more to the point and shorter as compared to Tiffy’s quirky and descriptive prose. Initially, I was almost disappointed because I dint expect them to meet until the last few pages of the book. However, I loved the first half of the book, where they haven’t met yet and are conversing only through Post-it notes, however there is a lot going on in their lives to still enjoy their monologues later.
Setting:
As a love story, to create a romance between two people who have never met living in the same flat is quote unusual and I guess the author did a brilliant job at portraying that.
There is a part in the book, where she describes how one knows what kind of person the other one is just by looking at their laundry, leftovers and home in general. I could relate to that so well, since I stayed in a Flat Share myself and realized that is exactly I would assume things about my flatmate.
I absolutely adored the setting!
Characters:
Almost all the character’s in the book are perfect except for the obvious one, which still did not make this a bad thing. I honestly would love to meet these characters in real life.
Tiffy and Leon, have such a distinct voice of their own. Leon is more of an introvert while Tiffy is an extrovert. I love how they have a work life balance going on. which makes it so close to reality.
Gerty, Mo and Richie, I am so glad how these supporting characters are really such a nice portrayal of being a supportive friend and family. I wanted to be a part of this world, by the end of this book. Even so, if it was as Richie’s Girlfriend 😛
I sure do recommend to read this book for the sole purpose of this being such a pleasant read and absolutely the best pick for a light summer afternoon. It will leave your heart all mushy.. I Promise!
What a great review! As you probably already know, I loved this book and I can’t stop thinking about its heartwarming story ♥ All the characters are so lovable (not you Tiffy’s ex-BF that I don’t even want to name!). I can’t wait to read your next contents! 🙂
Thankyou! I agree. Her ex was such a weirdo! Haha…
