I have heard so many good things about this Drama, I wanted to check it out for myself. and Yes, the Hype is real.
Let’s just say – This made me go through a lot of emotions.
WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Jang Man Wol is the CEO of Hotel del Luna. The hotel is situated in downtown in Seoul and has a very old appearance. She made a big error many years ago and, because of this, she has been stuck at Hotel del Luna. She is beautiful, but she is fickle, suspicious and greedy. Goo Chan-Sung worked as the youngest assistant manager ever at a multinational hotel corporation. He is a sincere perfectionist. He looks level-headed, but he actually has a soft disposition. Due to an unexpected case, he begins to work as a manager at Hotel del Luna. The hotel’s clientele consists of ghosts.
THOUGHTS
I’ll be completely honest! I rarely cry watching a K-Drama. But this one made me cry like for every episode. Only thinking about these star-crossed lovers is enough to make me sad.
Even with the hour and a half long episodes, the series doesn’t seem to drag for a moment and it always left me wanting more. We have comedy, spooky vibes, mushy romance and enough drama throughout to get you on that emotional roller coaster.
The side characters in this book had their own personal agendas and it broke my heart to see them go to the afterlife even though that would be the best thing to do. The Drama tries to touch base with a lot of issues like rape, cyber bullying, defamation, societal norms and most of all how people deal with grudges.
IU is so pretty. I loved all her hairstyles, her dresses and her expressions. She indeed has done an excellent job in portraying her character with being fickle, greedy and mysterious while being exceptionally cute and beautiful at the same time.
She is also a woman that is suffering to let go of the hurt in her past life and deals with her own demons. An absolute fierce and strong female character that is indeed inspiring!
Also,I have been listening to the soundtracks in these series every day to soothe my hangover even though it’s been a week I have finished this series!
Another Day, has such an amazing tune to it, and Lean On My Shoulder has such beautiful lyrics. *wipes her tears*

Overall, Hotel Del Luna will keep your entertained with its supernatural element, romance and heartbreaking tale of love and loss.
